YouTuber ‘reviews’ Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S21+ like it’s no big deal
Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S21+, is still a month or more away from launch.
That, however, didn’t stop YouTube channel Random Stuff 2 from posting a five-minute video review of the new phone.
Typically, early leaks only give us a short glimpse of the phone, typically in horrible light. But this “unofficial review,” as it’s called, clearly shows us the device from all sides in broad daylight. We’re even treated to a short gaming session as well as numerous camera samples.
In the video, we can clearly see the near-bezel-less design with a punch-hole selfie camera in the top middle of the display, as well as the triple-rear camera on the back.
The phone is obviously a pre-production device, with some parts taped over, and the software isn’t finalized. Still, everything appears to run very smoothly; the man holding the phone in the video appears to be impressed and says it’s probably going to be the “best phone of 2021.” He even posted another video with some benchmarks, which indicate that the new Galaxy S21+ is faster than most phones out there.
We’ll reserve our judgement until the phone is officially out, but it’s certainly cool to see the device in this much detail ahead of the launch. Also, there’s a possibility that the phone in the video is not really the new Samsung, but the video certainly seems pretty convincing.
The Samsung Galaxy S21+ is rumored to come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, 8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, and a 64/12/12-megapixel camera setup. It will probably launch in January.
