You can now pre-pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 9
Eager to be one of the first to get the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 phone? Well, now there’s a way to make sure you will, despite the fact that the phone hasn’t even officially been announced yet.
Samsung has set up a new page on its website letting you “reserve the next Galaxy,” without actually spelling its name or any of its specs.
The page sports a short teaser video for the upcoming, S pen-equipped phone, scheduled to launch on August 9 at an event in New York City. Yes, we sort of know it’ll be the Galaxy Note 9 — the clues are there and Samsung typically launches a new Note device around this time — but it’s still weird to see a pre-order page that doesn’t specify what you’re buying.
The page doesn’t require you to pay anything; you can simply enter your information, select a carrier and “reserve” the device, which gives you “early access to pre-order” and, should you do so, guarantees you will get the phone by August 24.
You can also take advantage of Samsung’s offer to trade in an old (eligible) phone and receive up to $450 of trade-in credit that applies towards your Note 9 purchase.
Since Samsung won’t tell us much about the phone yet, here’s what we know — and assume — about the Galaxy Note 9. It’ll likely physically be very similar to the Note 8. Specs will likely include a Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9180 processor, 6/8GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, dual 12-megapixel rear camera and a bigger battery. Check this article for a more detailed overview.
This offer will stay valid until August 9, 2018, 11:59 p.m. ET, and will let you pre-order the Note 9 from August 10, 2018 at 12:01a.m. ET to August 12, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
