Want to get a head start on your taxes? This app will pair you with a real-life CPA.
You know, there really isn’t anything fun or snappy to say about filing your annual tax return. Whether you try to do it yourself or have an experienced (read: $$$) CPA do it for you, it just sucks — plain and simple.
… Or does it?
A new startup called Visor aims to switch up the tax-filing game using a twofold approach that recently garnered some praise over on Product Hunt. First, Visor pairs each of its account holders with real-life tax experts whose goal is to help them maximize tax savings and prepare their returns. These experts can be consulted directly in one-on-one meetings offered year-round, during which account holders can ask questions, request financial advice, and more.
This is especially valuable if you dabble in things like cryptocurrencies, which can get quite complicated tax-wise. These certified CPAs or EAs will also be available for full-service protection in the off chance you get audited by the IRS.
The second part of Visor’s hassle-free tax solution comes in the form of a convenient mobile app that account holders can use to easily file their returns. Simply answer a few questions, scan or take a photo of your relevant documents, and upload said images to the app; a pro at Visor will take care of things from there.
Ready to get this year’s taxes over with? Of course you are. Head over to the Mashable Shop, where you can sign up to get your return filed through Visor for just $89. That’s a savings of 55% on the original price of $198, FYI.
Available for just the next few days, this stellar deal gives you the option of selecting any of the following add-on tax situations for free: stock sales or cryptocurrency, self-employment income, or K-1/partnership income.
