Walmart will give you nearly $100 off an iPhone 6S or 6S Plus through Aug. 17
Advantages of being Team iPhone: Apple street cred and blue iMessages. What else is there?
Disadvantages of being Team iPhone: Well, they tend to shit out after about two years of use (conveniently near the time a new iPhone is about to be released). If you’re really unlucky, yours croaked way early — and now you’re stuck with a illegible cracked screen or rigged charging port until your contract is up.
Or not: Until the end of day on August 17, Walmart wants to give you the iPhone 6S or 6S Plus for $95 off along with $45 of free Airtime with Straight Talk. You’re welcome.
Yes, we know the 6S isn’t as street cred-worthy as the 7, 8, or X — but buying from Walmart (on sale!) is way better than trying to find one of these used somewhere else.
The 6S still has a 12 MP camera, a speedy Apple A-9 chip, a home button that you can actually press, and the most missed feature: The beloved headphone jack. Dongle who?
Mashable’s Foster Kamer even referred to it as the last of the great iPhones.
Not only are you saving nearly $100 on the phone itself, but you’ll also get a free perk from Straight Talk. This means an entire month of unlimited talk, text, and data, all for free. (And then the $45 per month after that without being locked into an annoying two year contract.)
The 6S usually goes for $344, but you can snag it for $249 — or if you’re a fan of the iPad-sized phones, you can opt for the 6S Plus, regularly $444 but on sale for $349. Saving $95 on a still-relatively-new iPhone until you save up for the newest release? We’ll take it.
