This might be the first real photo of Samsung’s Galaxy S10
Samsung’s Galaxy S10 is not exactly a secret anymore, but today we might be getting our first real glimpse of the actual device.
The photo comes courtesy of reporter Evan Blass (@evleaks) and shows a phone that definitely fits the description of what we expect the Galaxy S10 to be.
Blass denotes the device as “Beyond 1,” which is a likely code name for the Galaxy S10. The phone is rumored to come in two more flavors: Beyond 2 aka Galaxy S10 Plus, and Beyond 0 aka Galaxy S10 Lite.
The phone in the photo has a very slim bezel on top (note the speaker in the middle) and a slightly heftier, but still quite slim bezel on the bottom. The selfie camera is in the upper right corner.
Interestingly, the position of the selfie camera does not fit an earlier leak which allegedly came from a case manufacturer. In those images, the selfie camera was placed in the top middle of the screen. It’s also different from the Infinity-O display on the recently released Samsung A8s; that phone has the selfie camera on the upper left side of the screen.
The icons on the screen (and everything else, for that matter) has been blurred out, and the phone appears to be in a case, so it’s hard to make out any other details except for the two buttons on the left side. The screen is curvy on both sides, as is typical of Samsung’s recent flagships.
Blass did share one interesting feature: He claims the phone will have the ability to wirelessly charge other gadgets, a la Huawei Mate 20 Pro. This isn’t new information, though; we’ve first heard about it in November.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 is likely to launch in mid-February. The phone is rumored to come with a new Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, (up to) four rear cameras.
