The Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, S20+, and Ultra 5G are all $600 off
TL;DR: Samsung is having a killer sale on its Galaxy S20 series, offering $600 off of all three new phones. As of March 25, get the S20 5G starting at $399.99, the S20+ starting at $599.99, and the Ultra 5G starting at $799.99.
When Samsung released its newest Galaxy phones in late Feb. 2020, the general consensus surfaced pretty quickly: They’re beautiful, but way too expensive.
Since then, Samsung has realized that their pricing model was a bit exorbitant (or the brand wants to ensure that its customers have an affordable, online upgrade option during these trying times). The Samsung S20 5G, S20+, and 5G Ultra are currently $600 off on Samsung’s site, taking phones that were previously over $1,000 down to $599.99 or $799.99. The powerful and practical S20 is a mild $399.99.
This is a seemingly unprecedented sale for phones that have only been out for a month and some change. It’d take a true apocalypse to see Apple offering these discounts on the newest iPhones.
Speaking of iPhones, what’s so great about this series that would make Samsung originally price the cheapest model at $300 more than the iPhone 11?
Everyone was freaking out about the 5G, but there are other features that make these Samsung’s best phones yet: The horizontal camera has officially been retied and replaced with a vertical rectangle or square set of triple or quad cameras (depending on the model you get). It completely changes the look of the phone, but in a really good way. The corners are also much less pointy than those of past Galaxy phones, making for a softer, noticeably chic design.
Other Apple-beating specs include a 120Hz refresh rate on all three phones. The S20 Ultra has the most memory ever seen on a smartphone and the highest megapixel cameras.
Prices will obviously vary depending on your chosen model as well as your 128GB or 512GB storage. There are a lot of combinations (including four color options), so you can compare your options here.
