The OnePlus 6T is coming to T-Mobile stores, but it also supports Verizon
The OnePlus 6T is finally here and not only is it glorious — the screen’s larger with a smaller notch and there’s a fingerprint sensor underneath the display — but it comes with two arguably more important milestones (for Americans at least): You can buy the 6T from T-Mobile and the phone works on Verizon.
At long last, OnePlus is breaking into the U.S. with retail presence that’ll put its devices in front of more potential customers, many of whom are probably unfamiliar with the brand. Supporting Verizon is a equally as significant because it’s the first time a OnePlus phone will work on America’s largest wireless network.
The OnePlus 6T will be available from T-Mobile starting on Oct. 29 at a pop-up store in New York City’s Times Square — it launches on Nov. 1 everywhere else — in two finishes as follows:
-
$549: Midnight Black with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM
-
$579: Mirror Black or Midnight Black with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM
-
$629: Midnight Black with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM
Monthly financing plans will be available for customers who don’t want to pay in full upfront. With T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan, you can put $0 down and $24.17 per month for 24 months.
If you have an eligible trade-in device — T-Mobile is giving customers $300 for any eligible device, including the four-year-old OnePlus One, which is an unreal deal — you’ll only pay $11.67 per month for 24 months after you trade it in.
As for Verizon, it’ll just work if you buy the phone directly from OnePlus and pop your Big Red SIM card in.
