The Oculus Quest VR kit is back in stock
TL;DR: As of April 1, the 128GB Oculus Quest VR kit is back in stock on the company’s website for $499 — get one before they’re gone.
VR headsets have been selling out everywhere since the release of Half-Life: Alyx, especially the Oculus Quest — it’s one of the few VR headsets that can run the game, and it’s half the price of the $1,000 Valve Index that Alyx was designed for. Because of that, everyone wants one. The Half-Life FOMO is just too strong.
That’s why you need to act quickly, because the Oculus Quest just went back in stock on the Oculus website. Only the 128GB version is available and it won’t ship until May 15, but it’s there for $499, and you can still secure it for yourself (until it inevitably sells out again).
The Oculus Quest really shines in its convenience — it’s an all-in-one device, combining your games library and movement sensors into the headset itself. You’ll get the Oculus Touch controllers, too, which are lauded for their precision and intuitive controls. If you want to play Alyx, you’ll need to run a cable to your PC, though (it’s outside of the Quest library). But hey, at least you aren’t dropping a grand.
Secure your Oculus Quest VR kit while it’s still in stock for $499 on the brand’s website, and get ready to play Half-Life: Alyx in May when your headset arrives.
