The newest Dell XPS 15 has a 4K OLED screen and is $150 off
TL;DR: The new Dell XPS 15 7590 laptop is on sale for $1,799.99, saving you $150.
Apple isn’t the only one releasing new versions of its most popular laptops.
Meet the world’s smallest 15.6-inch high performance laptop (at least, that’s what Dell is calling it). The new XPS 15 model was just released at the end of June 2019, along with an amazing new XPS 13 2-in-1. Dell doesn’t often do sales on new releases, but is currently offering $150 off the newest XPS 15 — getting it to you for just $1,799.99.
$150 off isn’t a huge blockbuster deal, but anyone who’s been waiting for this model’s release would have paid full price in a heartbeat. This is a nice cushion to buy a wireless mouse or add the touch screen option for $50.
The XPS line has never seen a 4K screen until now. The XPS 15’s 4K Ultra HD (3,840 x 2,160) display uses OLED technology and self-lighting pixels to achieve perfect black and high-contrast dark mode. Because the pixels completely turn off when they’re not being used in OLED dark mode, battery life is also extended. Speaking of pixels, Dell Cinema and Dolby Vision have squeezed four million pixels into this display (double what a 1080p TV has and three million more than what the MacBook Pro has, according to Dell).
We all know that one movie buff who tries to squeeze a film in at any free second they can — the new XPS is the laptop they’ll want to watch on.
A tiny yet crisp webcam has been placed in the top bezel, unnoticeable until you really look.
Inside, the beast is powered by the latest 9th generation Intel Core processor with up to eight cores and up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics. New networking hardware in the WiFi chip is also said to deliver three times faster.
Regularly $1,949.99, you can save $150 and get the non-touch screen model for $1,799.99.
