The Fire HD 10 is on sale for $50 off for Amazon Prime members
Needing a tablet isn’t the same as needing an iPad. There, we said it.
iPads are a massive investment that creative professionals are willing to make — but not everyone’s needs are that serious, and not everyone’s wallet allows for dropping $700 on a single item.
Those in the latter situation should have the Fire HD 10 tablet on their radar, and Prime members can get it for $50 off today. At $99, you could get eight Fire 10 tablets for the price of one 10.5-inch iPad Pro.
Photoshop and Illustrator are definitely out of the question, but as cheap as it is, the Fire HD 10 deserves some respect. For entertainment purposes, it’s pretty great: The 1920 x 1200 display lets you binge content in 1080p, and being a Prime member gets you access to thousands of books, magazines, songs, films, and TV shows for free. Echo-heavy households will appreciate that it can also double as a smart home hub with the Alexa assistant built-in.
The cameras are meh and a plastic exterior isn’t the most stylish, but it’s also literally under $100. And if young kids will also be asking for a turn, you’ll be thankful for that plastic.
Regularly $149, Prime members can save $50 and grab it for $99. (Not a Prime member? Sign up here.)
