The Apple AirPods Pro are $25 off at Verizon, which never happens
TL;DR: Now through April 23, Verizon is offering 10% off the , which takes the price in your cart down to $224.99 and beats the lowest price ever on Amazon.
The difference between regular headphones and noise-canceling headphones is made pretty obvious when working from home with other people around.
People who own the regular AirPods (or wired EarPods) know this because they can definitely hear other conversations or a kid’s TV show in the background even though their music is blaring at full volume. That can really put a damper on your focus — as if working from home wasn’t already distracting enough.
The AirPods Pro are Apple’s only pair of AirPods with noise cancellation technology. Since being released in Oct. 2019, the AirPods Pro have almost never gone on sale. They were skipped over by pretty much every store during Black Friday, and Amazon, who usually finds a way to offer a bigger discount than everyone else, has never had a discount more than $14.05 off.
But now through April 23, Verizon is offering $25 off the AirPods Pro. The discount is automatically applied, so that beautiful $224.99 price tag will be waiting in your cart. Free two-day shipping is also available.

A rumor is floating around that Apple is releasing a new pair of AirPods in May 2020. No for-sure updates have popped up yet, but some are predicting some sort of “AirPods Pro Lite.” Forbes says that these would essentially take the more comfortable, silicone fit and shorter ear stalks of the current Pro while taking away noise cancellation to keep prices low. (People just want them to be under $200. Please, we’re begging.)

Of course, Apple could totally throw us for a loop and announce some major over-ear, noise-blocking bad boys. But if the aforementioned predictions are true, it looks like the current AirPods Pro will still be your only option for AirPods that will block the world out. My friend is a bartender — or, was before social distancing happened — and uses the AirPods Pro to drone out music and the obnoxious conversations so that she can actually hear a patron’s drink order. She said it’s been life-changing.
The Pro charging case is bigger and more of a horizontal rectangle than the regular AirPods’ square one. It can charge wirelessly and is supposed to give an additional 18 to 24 hours of battery life.
