The 2018 MacBook Pro and 2017 MacBook Air are (finally) on sale for up to $300 off
After TVs, laptops were probably the most searched-for item this Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend (if you couldn’t tell by the ad scans with numerous pages devoted to laptop deals). But one huge brand seemed to be laying stealthily in the shadows: WYD, Apple?
Amazon and Best Buy are some of the main retailers we usually go to for MacBook sales, but it seems like they’re focused on other stuff this deals season — but Jet.com is here to give us the clout we deserve.
Jet has numerous models of the 2018 MacBook, 2018 MacBook Pro, and 2017 MacBook Air on sale for up to $300 off right now — and while $200 – $300 off isn’t the biggest discount, it’s better than nothing. Plus, we’re pretty much used to seeing discounts on 2017 models, so we’re more than content here.
Here’s what’s up for grabs:
2018 15-inch MacBook Pro (256 GB or 512 GB) — starts at $2,149 (save up to $300)
The 2018 MacBook Pro is Apple’s most powerful notebook yet: Featuring a brand new i6 Intel Core processor (a step up from the 2017 model), it sees up to 70% faster speeds and is especially handy for uploading 4K videos and handling heavy duty apps like Photoshop. The gorgeous 2560 x 1600 retina display is clearer than most (not for gaming, but it gets the job done) and the coveted Touch Bar allows you to control brightness and volume, browse the web, talk to Siri, send iMessages, activate Touch ID, and more. Plus, it just looks badass.
Regularly $2,399 for the 256 GB or $2,599 for the 512 GB, you can save $250 on the 256 GB and get it for $2,149 or save $302 on the 512 GB and get it for $2,297. (Getting Apple’s most recent top-notch specs for a little over two grand doesn’t happen very often, so we’d hop on this if we were you.)
The 2017 13-inch Pro (without the Touch Bar) is also on sale if you want a Pro but are on a budget, or don’t need the touch bar. Find it for $250 off at $1,049 here.
Why pay a shit ton for the newest MacBook Air model when you could save on the next best one? Aside from a slightly slimmer exterior design, this older 5th generation Air is just as good as its new 2018 brother. Seriously. Both the newest model and this one use a 1.8 GHz Intel dual-core processor, are under three pounds, sport an impressively large 13.3-inch display, and are somehow able to get 12 hours of battery life on one charge. Essentially, it’s the laptop for everyone.
We just don’t see the point in paying excessively for the new one when the cheaper one is just as good — regularly $1,199, you can save $250 and get the 256 GB model for just $949.
