'Ted Lasso' star Brett Goldstein gives a gloriously sweary breakdown of his Emmy win
Ted Lasso actor Brett Goldstein picked up an Outstanding Supporting Actor Emmy recently for his role as Roy Kent, doubling down on the proof that he is in fact a real person and not some kind of CGI Apple creation.
True to form he swore during his acceptance speech, and during his Wednesday night appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers he swore some more while describing what the whole experience was like.
Turns out he had to queue, was late getting in, and then got rushed straight past the red carpet and into the venue just in time to win an award.
“Suddenly it started, Cedric the Entertainer and a load of people started singing and dancing towards us. Everyone stood up and all I was thinking was, ‘Oh ****, have I got to dance?” Goldstein said.
Brilliant.
