Save up to $68 on AncestryDNA, 23andMe, and more
When the double helix was discovered and National DNA Day was established in 1953, people were shook.
In the past 66 years, the general public’s ability to trace their family tree from home (in a matter of weeks, no less) has gone from something that sounds like a sci-fi movie theme to being a best seller on Black Friday.
As of February 2019, more than 26 million people in the U.S. have done an at-home ancestry test — more double the 12 million counted in 2017, which was a milestone of its own. After people cross a test off of their own bucket list, they can move on to a DNA test for their dog.
DNA testing companies are celebrating National DNA Day by making at-home DNA testing even more accessible than usual. Giants like AncestryDNA, 23andMe, and more are putting kits on sale for up to $68 off, making them as affordable as 50 or 60 bucks.
Not sure which kit best suits your needs? Check out our guide to the best DNA test kits.
