Save up to $62.02 on Amazon
As of Feb. 23, select Apple Watches are on sale on Amazon for up to 15% off:
The review is in: Apple Fitness+ is a solid beginner to mid-level exercise app with a diverse (and constantly growing) library of workouts, but you’ll definitely need an Apple Watch for the best experience.
Mashable tech guru Brenda Stolyar recommends the Series 3 or newer if you’re planning on signing up for the app, which is extremely convenient given the fact that Amazon has four of the five current Apple Watch models on sale — even the Series 5, which is often sold out completely on the site. (The only one MIA is the Apple Watch Series 4, which is pretty much standard procedure: While it’s still supported by watchOS 7, it’s been strangely hard to find ever since Apple discontinued it following the launch of the Series 5.)
Depending on the color, size, and GPS/cellular configuration of the Apple Watch you want, you can save as much as $69.02 when you shop Amazon’s sale. Here’s a quick rundown of the included models’ specs:
Released last September, the biggest draws of Apple’s latest wearable are an updated processor (Apple’s fastest yet) and SpO2 sensor for measuring one’s blood oxygen levels. Other upgrades include a brighter, always-on OLED display, an always-on altimeter, sleep tracking, an expanded Noise app, hand-washing detection (because that’s the kind of world we live in now), an 18-hour battery life, and two additional colorways: Product Red and Navy Blue.
The GPS and GPS + cellular models are currently starting at $339 and $429.98, respectively, which works out to a savings of up to $60 and $69.02 depending on the color and size.
The budget version of the Series 6 omits the SpO2 feature, ECG sensor, and always-on display and opts for a slightly less speedy S5 chipset (which is still twice as fast as the Series 3’s) to bring you a still-great smartwatch at more affordable price point.
The last time we checked, select styles of the GPS and GPS + cellular versions were starting at just $269 and $309 (or $10 and $20 off, respectively).
This Mashable’s Choice Award-winning smartwatch from 2017 is still kicking. It’s certainly nothing special compared to Apple’s newest models, but its Retina display, optical heart sensor, and built-in altimeter get the job done for cheap.
Available in two different colors each, you can score the 38mm or 42mm variants of the GPS model on sale for just $169 or $199, respectively — that’s a $30 savings either way.
MORE GREAT DEALS
Another Mashable’s Choice Award-winner, the Series 5 made waves in the fall of 2019 for being the first Apple Watch with an always-on display. (It “feels like a game-changer,” tech reporter Karissa Bell wrote at the time.) It’s actually almost identical to the all-new Series 6 with features like an ECG sensor, fall detection, heart rate notifications, and Emergency SOS, so if you don’t care about that SpO2 sensor, grab one of these.
Most configurations of it are out of stock on Amazon, but you can get the 44mm GPS model on sale in two different colors for up to $12.85 off. (Yeah, it’s not much, but this thing is so elusive that it’s worth it.) Get one with a gold aluminum case and a pink sports band for $416.15, or grab the space gray version with a black sports band for $422.62 (normally $429 each).
