Save up to $500 on select Apple MacBook models
Do you like the color rose gold?
If the answer is yes (or you just like really inexpensive laptops in general), the Apple MacBook is now on sale for just $799, or $550 off its retail price at B&H Photo Video. This is a ridiculously low price for one of the best laptops out there.
Usually going for $1,299, this is the mid-2017 model of the Apple MacBook line. But don’t let that fool you into thinking this is an old and tired machine. This machine still has the slim and compact design with a large Force Touch Trackpad.
Meanwhile, this Apple laptop just rips with its Intel Core m3 Dual-Core processor and Integrated Intel HD Graphics 615 graphic card built inside. This is great for casual use like browsing the internet, creating documents and spreadsheets, and watching HD films and TV shows on its 12-inch LED-backlit IPS 2304×1440 resolution Retina display — which is 30% more efficient than previous models.
It also features 8GB of memory, so you’ll stay productive with a good workflow without skipping a beat. While it only has one USB 3.0 Type-C port, you can still get the most out of it with 256GB of on-board storage.
In addition, this Apple MacBook comes with macOS High Sierra out-of-the-box. However, you can update it to the latest macOS Mojave in the Apple App Store for free. For less than $800, you might not be getting the latest and greatest from Apple, but the MacBook will definitely feel like it is after the macOS update.
If you want something with a little bit more power, but without the cleaner design, the Apple MacBook Air is also on sale for only $799.99, or $349 off its list price on Amazon.
Retailing for $1,149, this is also the 2017 model of the MacBook Air line with a more powerful dual-core Intel Core i7 Processor chip inside with an Intel HD Graphics 6000 graphics card built-in. This is the perfect chipset combination for casual to moderate use, such as watching YouTube videos and Netflix, light photo and video editing, and heavy internet browsing. While this laptop doesn’t have a Retina display, it features an LED-backlit glossy widescreen display with a 1440×900 resolution.
With 12-hour battery life, the Apple MacBook Air will get you through a long workday with ease, while the laptop’s 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will make switching between apps seamless and smooth. It also features two USB 3 ports, one Thunderbolt 2 port, a MagSafe 2 power port, and a SDXC card slot for storage expansion and memory cards.
Both models are just under $800, and both are a great value. The Apple MacBook has a lighter and more compact design with a better display, while the Apple MacBook Air features more power with a variety of ports. You really can’t go wrong with either pick.
