Save up to 40% on the Echo Dot, Echo Show, and more
TL;DR: Amazon Echo smart speakers are on sale for up to 40% off.
While two dozen large men in spandex fought over a leather spheroid last night, Amazon was busy making a few clutch plays of its own.
The retail giant celebrated gameday by slashing the prices of almost all of its Echo devices by as much as 40% — and as of Monday morning, those discounts are still going strong.
It’s kind of a pity these deals didn’t go live sooner, considering you probably spent a large portion of Sunday covered in buffalo sauce and taco dip; there’s no need to worry about messy hands touching remotes and light switches when you’ve got a voice-activated, Alexa-enabled smart speaker to do your bidding. But hey, no complaints here — we haven’t seen Amazon Echo deals this good since last December.
Here’s the lowdown on all of the devices featured in Amazon’s Echo sale:
Released in September, the third-gen Echo is a remarkably good-sounding smart speaker featuring premium Dolby technology with equalizer controls. It’s available in five different colors, and you can get it here for just $74.99 — that’s $25 off its suggested retail price of $99.99.
The second-gen Echo Plus smart speaker is pretty much identical to the third-gen Echo, only with an additional built-in Zigbee hub that makes it capable of controlling your entire smart home setup. If you order it here for $119.99 (down $30 from $149.99), Amazon will throw in a free Philips Hue smart bulb just for kicks.
Available in four different colors, the third iteration of Amazon’s bestselling Echo Dot is a small-but-mighty smart speaker with impressive sound quality for its size. Get the standard model here for only $29.99 (down $20 from its MSRP of $49.99), or upgrade to the version with an LED clock for just $39.99 (down $20 from $59.99).
Got a little one in your life? The adorable Echo Dot Kids Edition is also on sale — buy it here for just $49.99, or $20 off its suggested retail price of $69.99.
Boasting an 8-inch HD screen, dual speakers with stereo sound, and support for video calling and messaging, the Echo Show 8 arrived to much fanfare when it dropped this past November. Get it here in either charcoal or sandstone for just $89.99, or $40 off its $129.99 MSRP.
Perfect for a bedside table, the slightly older (by, like, six months) Echo Show 5 is a compact smart display with a 5.5-inch touchscreen and a single speaker. It normally retails for $89.99, but you can get it here in your choice of two colors for just $64.99 — a $25 savings.
Sporting a gorgeous 10-inch HD screen that’s just begging to stream Jordan Peele’s Hunters, the second-gen Echo Show is the largest device of its kind. (And thanks to some premium speakers with Dolby processing, a pretty great-sounding one to boot.) Get it here for only $179.99, or $50 off its original retail price of $229.99.
Bring Alexa’s helpful knowledge and skills to more places in your home with the Echo Flex, a teensy smart speaker that plugs into any standard outlet. It typically retails for $24.99, but you can get it here for just $19.99 — a $5 savings.
Echo Auto — save 40% and get four free months of Amazon Music Unlimited
Buckle up, Alexa: The Echo Auto gets mounted on your car’s vent and connected to the vehicle’s speakers, allowing you to take your favorite smart assistant with you on the go. For a limited time, every unit comes with four free months of Amazon Music Unlimited (an $81.95 value) — score one here for just $29.99 (down $20 from $49.99).
