Save over $400 on the stunning Sony A8H
Need guidance at a glance? These are our favorite TV deals from Walmart, Best Buy, Dell, and Amazon as of Feb. 26:
Happy almost-March.
There’s a lot to look forward to this month: Spring, daylight saving time, and Godzilla vs. Kong on HBO Max.
The other streaming platforms have released their lineups for the new month as well. We’re psyched for Moxie starring Amy Poehler on Netflix and the second season of Solar Opposites on Hulu.
As always, we think it all deserves to be watched in 4K. Here are the 4K TV deals you should take advantage of this weekend:
Samsung
OUR TOP PICK: — $1,999.99 (save $700)
Teasing an extra discount on top of its amazing sale price from two weeks ago, the 65-inch version of Samsung’s most affordable 8K model is almost half off (Best Buy has matched the price from Samsung’s End of Winter event, where the model has already sold out). Prepare to be thrown into depths double that of a 4K TV and brilliant pops of shade thanks to Samsung’s Direct Full Array 24X** backlighting.
LG
OUR TOP PICK: — $1,299.99 (save $400)
The NanoCell TVs normally strapped with meager discounts are treating us recently. This particular mammoth model is seeing one of the best price slashes — its discount doubles that of a same-size model that’s just one tier below it. Since 2017, LG’s NanoCell TVs have been a solid choice that we keep coming back to. The technology builds on LCD and LED by deploying particles to soak up light and boost color saturation, while still staying out of the QLED price range.
Sony
OUR TOP PICK: Sony 55-inch A8H Series 4K OLED Smart TV (XBR55A8H) — $1,498 (save $401.99)
Everything about the A8H is just… vibrant. Eight million pixels are pushed to their brightest with the Pixel Contrast Booster, complementing the OLED technology that creates that true Sony depth. The impeccable motion smoothing makes numerous appearances in reviews, too. A set of actuators (speakers) sitting behind the TV create a soundstage that vibrates through the room, giving each viewer an exhilarating personalized experience.
Hisense, Vizio, and more:
OUR TOP PICK: — $588 (save $170)
It’s no P-Series Quantum, but Vizio’s V Series holds its own against budget models from Samsung and LG. Over 25,000 five-star reviews at Walmart confirm that the IQ Active processor does an immaculate job of upscaling content to 3840 x 2160 (which always looks extra-sweet when it’s splashed across such a huge screen). The combination of full-array backlighting, local dimming, and Dolby Vision offers lifelike color and contrast to boost dark scenes.
HBO Max isn’t yet compatible with Vizio’s SmartCast platform directly, but it can easily be accessed through AirPlay or Chromecast.
