Save on Fujifilm, Polaroid, and Canon
“How’s your summer?” is a loaded question this year. The answer is always some rendition of “Good, given the circumstances,” obviously alluding to the fact that most fun summer plans have been postponed indefinitely.
But 2020 is still a year that will go down in history, and its weirdness still deserves to be documented. Don’t you want to show your grandkids a photo of yourself posted up in your apartment for the fourth week in a row after bidding $50 for toilet paper on ebay?
Snap instant memories of your socially-distanced beach trip or your makeshift happy hour in the backyard with an instant camera on sale. Best Buy is offering savings up to $70 on instant film cameras from Polaroid, Fujifilm, and Canon. All camera purchases also come with a free $25 credit at Shutterfly.
The warm, fuzzy, nostalgic feels of the Polaroid OneStep 2 are unmatched. The true throwback shape is reminiscent of the ones from the ’60s (minus the gigantic flash on top.) Photo quality is also akin to that of 60 years ago, but the ink really does show up instantly.
The battery is rechargeable and the built-in self timer is clutch for group photos (as long it’s within the gathering limits that your state has mandated, of course.)
Though it’s no longer Fujifilm’s newest Instax model, the Instax Mini 9 continues its reign as an all-time-favorite. Modern features include a manual adjustment dial that lets you adjust to four different lighting conditions, a macro lens for detailed close-ups, and a selfie mirror for better accuracy when shooting selfies.
Along with the Shutterfly credit, it also comes with a free pack of rainbow instant film (a $13.99 value.) Film usually isn’t included with the purchase of any instant camera, so this can technically be thought of as a $23.99 discount.
Canon IVY Cliq+ — $89.99 (regular price $159.99)
The Canon IVY line takes instant camera to a whole new level: Not only does it print instant photos taken via the regular point-and-shoot method, but it can also print photos taken on your phone. Filters and stickers are also options with the Cliq+ model, plus a 2-inch selfie mirror with an LED ring.
If you don’t need a fancy selfie camera, you can grab the regular Canon IVY Cliq instant camera on sale for $59.99.
