Save $300 on a 55-inch Samsung 4K TV on sale at Walmart, an early Black Friday deal we’re loving
If you’re shopping for a new TV on Black Friday, you’ve probably figured out by now that you don’t actually have to wait until Black Friday to get a great deal. In fact, many retailers already have their Black Friday prices live, with more models getting added to the list every day. (Check out our complete coverage of Black Friday TV deals here.)
And it makes sense: the holidays are a prime time to gather in front of ye olde hearth television. Thanksgiving in particular is a great time for that, whether your family is into football or their annual Tom Hanks movie marathon. (T.Hanks — get it?)

Of all the TVs to complete Thanksgiving, Samsung is definitely one of the best choices to go with purely based on brand. And Walmart has one on sale right now that strikes a good balance between performance and price.
The Samsung 55-inch NU6900 4K Smart TV is on sale for $397.99, down a whopping $302 from the original $699.99 price. We’re not going to mince words here: This is a great deal, and one we don’t often see on the 55-inch model.
Where Samsung TVs shine is how they display colors. Compared to other TV brands, Samsung delivers some of the best color contrasting on the market for bright and colorful pictures. So expect the field to look especially green while watching football, or for the blue of the ocean in Castaway to be particularly blue.
A 55-inch TV is the ideal size, in our opinion — not too big and not too small, it’s a large enough screen to be impressive, but not so big that your in-laws will think you’re trying to prove something.
