Save $14 at Amazon and Walmart

SAVE $14: As of Sept. 30, select variants of the Apple Watch Series 6 are on sale at Amazon and Walmart starting at $384.99.

Since Apple never runs its own sales, Amazon Prime Day is always one of the biggest savings events of the year for discounts on iEverything (second only to Black Friday, maybe). 

And now that it’s official that its deals will kick off Oct. 13, both Amazon and Walmart are coming in hot with a can’t-miss discount on the brand’s newest wearable: For the first time ever, several 40mm and 44mm configurations of the all-new Apple Watch Series 6 are on sale at both retailers for about $14 off.

We could see this discount popping back up once Prime Day actually starts, but there’s a good chance some styles will be back-ordered through the holiday season — Apple Watches are popular gifts year after year — so buying now is a good call.

Announced at its Sept. 15 product event alongside the budget-friendly Apple Watch SE and a couple of new iPads, the Series 6’s biggest draws include a new SpO2 sensor that can monitor your blood oxygen level and a fast dual-core processor. Mashable tech reporter Brenda Stolyar thought these features were “slightly underwhelming” when she tested the wearable at home, noting its many similarities to last year’s Apple Watch Series 5, but she wound up giving it a 4.5/5-star rating anyway for its premium design, accurate health- and fitness-tracking tools, and 18-hour battery life — click here to read her full product review. (The key takeaway? Don’t bother upgrading if you already own an Apple Watch, especially if it’s a Series 4 or 5.)
