Save $100 and get a free second controller
TL;DR: You can shave $100 off the price of a new Xbox One X console (and get a free second controller with your purchase) when you shop the Microsoft Store’s E3 Week sale.
With Final Fantasy VII getting remastered for the Xbox One ahead of the release of the game’s remake — which, by the way, looks extremely good — you now have the perfect excuse to upgrade your console.
Wait, what’s that you say? You want *two* perfect excuses to buy a new console? Well, then get this: The Microsoft Store is currently having a sale on the Xbox One X in honor of this week’s E3 2019 gaming convention; it’s discounted by a whopping $100, and you’ll get a free second controller with your purchase. Happy now?
Released in November 2017 for the base price of $499.99, the Xbox One X features an eight-core custom AMD CPU that runs at 2.3GHz for lag-free performance, and 12GB GDDR5 of graphic memory with plenty of room for all your favorite games.
In the graphics department, the Xbox One X’s 326 GB/sec memory bandwidth ensures each title loads fast. There’s also a six Teraflop GPU, which allows for absurdly realistic 4K gaming environments, whether you’re making your way across the planet in Final Fantasy, moseying around Valentine in Red Dead Redemption II, or flossing on Fortnite‘s Snobby Shores.
As part of Microsoft’s sale, you’ll get the Xbox One X console itself in robot white, and from there, you can choose a free second Xbox wireless controller in either black or white.
That entire bundle is valued at $558.99, but you’ll get it for just $399, and with Microsoft’s standard free trials of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service and Xbox Live Gold to boot.
