Save $10 on a pair of earphones that utilize bone conduction technology
There are hundreds — perhaps even thousands — of headphones on the market, but very few of them are comfortable.
If they’re not unnecessarily bulky and weighing down your head, they’re poking and prodding at your eardrums. Or maybe you’re still using wired headphones, which seriously limit your range of motion. Whatever the reason, headphones tend to be more difficult than they seem.
A new(ish) development in the headphone industry is the use of bone conduction for earphones, as seen in this pair that’s currently on sale.
Reportedly lightweight and cozy, these headphones are designed to sit on top of your outer ears — kind of like a high-fashioned ear cuff. From there, this Bluetooth-enabled pair uses bone conduction to transport sound from your device straight to your ears — no cables or awkward in-ear prodding necessary. By sending vibrations to your cheekbones, these headphones allow you to enjoy the music without overwhelming your eardrums. And if you need to pause a song, reject a call, or crank up the volume, you can simply press one of the buttons on the headphones.
Apart from being a unique listening experience, these headphones also allow you to keep your situational awareness while you jam out, making them great for runners and bikers. For example, rather than blocking yourself off to an oncoming vehicle while you jog, you’ll be able to keep your senses open to what’s happening around you since you won’t have speakers directly in your ears.
Normally, these headphones cost $50, but for the next few days, you can snag them for $10 less. You can choose between four versatile colors: black, gold, red, and white.
