Samsung’s 4K TV ‘The Frame’ on sale this weekend — save over $1,000
Whatever you use a for (, , etc.), I think we can all agree that there are some clunky looking televisions out there.
But The Frame from Samsung is a diamond in the rough. It’s designed to look like — you guessed it — a picture frame. While you’re not watching the TV, you can set it to display photos and artwork.
The Frame is available in multiple sizes and the PCMag Shop has the 55-inch and 65-inch models on sale for $1,099.99 and $1,699.99 respectively. (That’s a savings of $900 and $1,100, BTW.)
The TV boasts a 3840 x 2160 4K LED display and has a built-in 2.2-channel speaker system that incorporates Bluetooth audio. It comes with a separate box to connect components rather than connecting to the back of the TV, so The Frame sits flush against your wall.
Because of how it sits, The Frame blends in to your decor as if it were just a piece of art. Plus, you can buy different colored bezels to match the framing to your home. Fill the screen with your own images or choose from preloaded art. The Frame’s motion sensor detects your presence and turns the screen on, then shuts it off when you leave in order to save energy.
It addition to looking pretty, the TV also performs well. Enjoy clear picture in Ultra HD and see high-quality details with HDR. The Frame comes with a voice-controlled smart remote, but you can also use your smartphone as a remote or use voice commands with Google Assistant or Alexa.
