Samsung Galaxy Tab A on sale for $82 off at Walmart — save 29%
Memorial Day weekend marked the unofficial start of beach-read season, which means a new lightweight tablet should be at the top of your “to-buy” list. These ultra-portable gadgets make it possible to take your entire e-book library with you, but don’t take up too much room in your tote bag, so you still have room in there for a crisp canned rosé (or three). What’s not to love?
Boasting a vivid display and expandable storage, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1-inch tablet is our favorite model for reading graphic novels and comic books on the go. It just so happens to be on sale at Walmart right now for more than $80 off its usual retail price — a savings of nearly 30% — making now the perfect time to pick one up.
The Tab A’s WUXGA touchscreen display features a 1920×1200 HD resolution that shows content in gorgeous clarity and enhances details for optimal viewing. It’s fueled by a robust Octa-core processor, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, and a relatively hefty battery for its size; you can use it for up to 13 hours on a single charge.
The Tab A also comes with a nifty multi-window feature that lets you open two apps side by side, making multitasking a cinch — you know, just in case that cute Hinge match messages you back mid-chapter.
Now, the Tab A has just 2GB of memory and 16GB of built-in storage, but if you side-load with a microSD card, you can expand it up to an additional 200GB. That’s way more storage than you’d get with an iPad, FYI.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1-inch tablet normally sells for $279.99, but you can get one at Walmart today for a mere $197.99. (Just add it to your cart first to see that discounted price.)
