OnePlus 9 will come with a charger, unlike some other modern smartphones
If you’re annoyed by the fact that the iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones of today come without a charger in the box, you might want to take a look at OnePlus’ upcoming phone.
The OnePlus 9 series of devices, scheduled to be unveiled on March 23, will indeed come with a charger in the box.
This is according to OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, who confirmed the news on the company’s official forums.
Just a year ago, smartphones with chargers in the box were the norm, but then Apple decided — citing environmental reasons — to ship the new iPhone 12 without a power adapter, and some smartphone makers, including Samsung, followed suit.
OnePlus has been slowly trickling out news about the OnePlus 9. The company said the upcoming series of devices will have a Hasselblad-tuned camera.
On Monday, OnePlus shared a one-minute teaser for the OnePlus 9 on Twitter, showing what the phone’s rear side will look like.
The OnePlus 9 series of devices will be officially unveiled at 10 a.m. ET on March 23.
