Noise-canceling Sony WHCH710N are over $100 off
Save $101.99: Sony’s budget-friendly ANC headphones, the WH-CH710N, have dropped to $98 at Amazon as of March 24 — a savings of over 50%.
Ambient noise rises with the temperature outside. Naturally, warm weather has people itching to break free from their winter solitude. And whether you’re the person trying to study with your bedroom window open or the person trying to sketch in the park during prime day drinking hours, that background mayhem can become deafening.
It’s a good time to switch to a pair of noise-canceling headphones. The over-ear Sony WH-CH710N are a sweet pick if you don’t feel the need to drop nearly $400, but would still prefer the expertise of a big brand if possible. Their MSRP of $199.99 is pretty affordable as it is — but a current sale more than halves that. Aside from a rare sighting of $88 near Black Friday, grabbing the WH-CH710N for $98 is the best deal you’ll see all year.
Active noise cancellation technology is expensive. The ANC in a pair of $199.99 (technically $98 now) headphones is going to be less snatched than the ANC in a pair of $349.99 headphones. Don’t dock them too many points for that. Still, for the more casual listener who’s going from a pair of headphones with no noise cancellation at all, the WH-CH710N will make a big difference. It’s a dip in distractions that blows similarly-priced competitors out of the water.
Sony’s recognizable audio performance makes itself known here. The bass is deep and the highs are well-defined and refreshing. Your content can be blasted for a total of 35 hours with ANC (45 with it off) before requiring a charge — battery life like this doesn’t happen often.
