Lenovo Smart Display on sale at Walmart for $50 off
Smart displays are quickly becoming one of the top home essentials, with the Amazon Echo and Google Home being the main players duking it out to win a spot on your counter.
But there’s another brand hot on their trail: The ingenious Lenovo Smart Display takes the good parts of the Echo Show and Google Home Hub and adds the things they lack — possibly making it the most robust smart speaker on the market. And it’s $50 off at Walmart today.
Let’s break it down:
-
The Amazon Echo show has great speakers and a camera, but the screen isn’t a touchscreen.
-
The Google Home Hub has a touchscreen, but has meh speakers and doesn’t have a camera.
-
The Lenovo Smart Display has a touchscreen, a great 10-watt speaker, and a 5 MP camera.
That’s the best of all worlds, baby.
Essentially a tablet attached to a smart speaker, the Lenovo Smart Display wants to make life easier and look good while doing it. Use “Hey Google” commands to play Spotify, watch Youtube videos on a crispy 1,920 x 1,200 FHD display (there’s no YouTube on the Echo), control your smart home devices, and more. (Did you know Google Assistant will answer more questions and more accurately than Alexa?)
Mashable’s Ray Wong writes:
“After trying out the Smart Display, I’m convinced that smart speakers are better with screens. There’s no doubt in my mind that certain information is better shown than spoken. With the Lenovo’s Smart Display you can the best of both voice and touch.”
Regularly $249.99, you can save $50 and grab the Lenovo Smart Display for $199.99.
