How to watch Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020
The inexorable march of tech announcements continues this week, with Samsung next up to the plate.
Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked is set for Wednesday, Aug. 5. Unlike previous iterations of Galaxy Unpacked, this one will be entirely virtual thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. There will be no audience to clap after every little announcement. It will start streaming at 10 a.m. ET on Samsung’s newsroom site or the general Samsung website.
Per Samsung’s usual late-summer schedule, we expect to hear about the next iteration in the Galaxy Note phone line. We’re almost certain it’s called the Note 20 and comes with a bigger screen with a higher refresh rate and 5G support. Also on deck are upgrades to the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Watch product lines, as well as a new AirPods competitor called Galaxy Buds Live.
Finally, we also think Samsung might show off a new version of last year’s Galaxy Fold bending phone based on a tease from the company itself. The first iteration of the Galaxy Fold was overly expensive, kind of mediocre, and didn’t always work correctly. Maybe this one will be better.
The only way to find out is to tune in on Wednesday morning.
