Get free Galaxy Buds with this Amazon bundle
TL;DR: As of Feb. 24, this Samsung Galaxy S20 5G bundle on Amazon gets you a 128GB unlocked model plus Galaxy Buds and a Duo Charging Station for $999.99 — the same price as the phone by itself elsewhere.
A few things are for sure about Samsung’s S20 phones: They’re undoubtedly more powerful than the iPhone 11 lineup, but they’re simply too expensive for their own damn good.
While the Galaxy S20 blows Apple out of the water in a handful of areas (the whole 5G thing is an obvious key), even Android stans might find themselves questioning whether this big upgrade is worth the $1,000 to $1,300. Yup: The S20’s most “basic” model starts at $999.99 — $300 more than the lowest-tier iPhone 11.
Perhaps it’d be more justifiable if you knew you wouldn’t have to drop even more on Galaxy Buds or a wireless charger down the road: Amazon is offering a Samsung Galaxy S20 bundle that includes the 128GB model plus a pair of Galaxy Buds and Samsung’s Wireless Charger Duo for $999.99. That latter items are technically free when you consider the fact that the phone goes for $999.99 alone on Samsung’s website, and it’s $155.97 less than purchasing each item separately.
You probably shouldn’t be buying a new phone on the sole basis that it has 5G connectivity (yet), but there are plenty of reasons why Samsung’s newest line is posing a path for the future. AMOLED Infinity-O displays, HDR10+ certification, and a 120Hz refresh rate make these the obvious choice for gamers who care about high-res graphics and lagging. (iPhone refresh rates only go up to 60Hz.) It’s not the near-perfect display of the S20 Ultra, but it’s still ahead of its time.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds are also one of the only pairs of truly-wireless earbuds to even come close to topping the AirPods. Despite being slightly less comfortable from sitting deeper in your ear, the Galaxy Buds provide much more of a noise cancellation effect than the regular AirPods. Wireless PowerShare lets you turn your new S20 into a makeshift powerbank and reverse charge your Galaxy Buds or Samsung Galaxy Watch. With the included Wireless Charger Duo Pad, you can charge your phone and headphones simultaneously.
