Get a 55-inch Sony 4K Bravia TV for less than $500 — almost 50% off
TL;DR: This glorious 55-inch 4K Android TV from Sony’s Bravia line is only $598 at Walmart, saving you $500.
A new TV is one of those purchases that you keep putting off. You convince yourself you’ll do it the next time you get paid, and end up spending an extra year with half-broken 40-incher from 2010.
It’s time to say “screw it” and get that new smart TV, already: This 55-inch Sony 4K Bravia Android TV is regularly $1,098, but it’s on sale for $598 at Walmart — a massive savings of $500. Getting any Sony Bravia TV for less than $600 is a steal, let alone one as big as this.
The X800E line is only one notch below the Sony 900XF, which is essentially 4K TV royalty. The only real difference is that the 800XE doesn’t have local dimming, which dims parts of the screen that should be dark during dark scenes and ups the contrast ratio.
But unless you review tech for a living, you probably won’t notice. The X800E still has fantastic picture, run by a 4K HDR Processor X1 to prevent motion blur and take even non-HDR content to 4K. Once you see it, you’re going to want to watch something immediately — just cast your content from your phone via Google Cast, or ask Alexa or Google Assistant to scroll through Netflix.
Walmart customer coffeelover writes:
“Initially purchased another brand 70″ UHD TV which we brought back due to picture having noticeable motion blur with grainy picture. Since we already had an older 40″ Sony Bravia since 2005 which still has a great picture, we went with this 55″ XBR-55X800E. The picture quality (natural colors, sharpness, etc.) is fantastic and we do not notice any motion blur since this processor is much better than the one on the last brand we tried. The set up was easy and it works seamlessly with our Pioneer Elite Hi-fi system and Blu-Ray player. Guess you still can’t go wrong with a Sony!”
Regularly $1,098, you can save $500 and get it for $598 with free two-day delivery.
