Garmin Fenix 5 series smartwatches are on sale for up to $270 off on Amazon
TL;DR: You can save up to 36% on a Garmin Fenix 5 series GPS smartwatch by ordering yours from Amazon.
Garmin recently announced the latest additions to its lineup of wearables — the Fenix 6 collection of GPS smartwatches — and man, do they look snazzy. According to Mashable’s Stan Schroeder, each new Fenix 6 device (there are a dozen total) features a battery performance manager, a pacing strategy tool, and a “frightening array” of trackers and sensors for, like, every activity you can think of. There’s even a model with built-in solar charging — a first for a Garmin smartwatch.
To mark the occasion, Amazon is currently offering a handful of discounts on previous-generation Fenix 5 smartwatches, including the series’ three core models: the Fenix 5, 5S, and 5X. They typically retail for $499.99 to $749.99 apiece (the Fenix 6 starts at $599.99, for comparison’s sake), but the retail giant’s sale will save you as much as 36% depending on the variant you choose.
Take your pick from the following models and styles:
Released in 2017, the 47mm Garmin Fenix 5 smartwatch comes equipped with Elevate wrist-based heart rate technology, advanced workout metrics, outdoor sensors like a barometric altimeter, and a heavy-duty case body made with sleek stainless steel and either regular or sapphire glass. (The latter type of glass is extremely hard and durable, and smartwatches made with it are usually more expensive.)
Amazon’s sale includes the following variants:
Geared toward delicate wrists, the Fenix 5S packs all the features of the OG Fenix 5 into a slightly smaller 42mm design.
Amazon’s sale includes the following variants:
Measuring in at 51mm, the Fenix 5X is the largest and most advanced watch of Garmin’s three core Fenix 5 models. It comes with all the features offered by the Fenix 5 and 5S, plus full-color mapping and a longer battery of up to 12 days (depending on the usage setting).
