Ecovacs’ robot vacuum and mop is on sale for $300 off at Best Buy

Back in late May — eons ago, basically — we stumbled upon what we thought was an end-all, be-all deal on cleaning tech at Best Buy: The Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 930 was on sale there for just $399.99, or a solid $250 off its suggested retail price of $649.99. (For those keeping score at home, that’s the same discount it enjoyed during last fall’s Black Friday sales.)

Would that smart-mapping, WiFi-connected robot vacuum/mop hybrid ever get any cheaper? We sort of figured “no,” TBQH — but hey, we’re big enough to admit when we’re wrong.

Somehow, someway, the electronics retailer has managed to outdo itself with an even better deal on the Deebot Ozmo 930: It’s now down to just $349.99 at Best Buy, or an impressive $300 off. As far as we can tell, it’s never been that cheap before at any retailer, ever — and FWIW, Ecovacs’ website still has it listed at full price. Well played, Best Buy.

For all the robot vacuums out there, we don’t see a lot of them doing double duty as a mop, too. But that’s not the only feature that makes the Deebot Ozmo 930 special: It automatically switches modes when it detects different flooring types so you don’t wind up with damp carpets, and uses a laser detection system to map out your home’s floorplan for a super efficient, multi-room cleaning pattern. It’ll also return itself to its dock to charge if its battery gets low, then pick up where it left off once it’s got enough juice — v self-sufficient. 

With the Deebot Ozmo 930, you can also schedule cleanings in advance using its companion smartphone app and control it using just your voice, provided you pair it with a smart home assistant. (It’s currently compatible with both Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant.)
