TL;DR: As of Mar. 3, Dell’s semi annual sale is offering deals on Inspiron and XPS laptops, G3 and G5 gaming laptops, and Alienware laptops, plus an extra 17% off with code EXTRA17.

Console gamers might be holding off on purchases until the release of the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett in the fall, but PC gamers know no such blind spot. Winter and spring 2020 are seeing major game releases like Doom Eternal and Half-Life: Alyx, and Dell is matching the hype by having its semi annual sale in the midst of the anticipation. If you were trying to justify upgrading your game room, here’s your excuse.

The sale offers slight discounts on a ton of Dell and Alienware gaming laptops, but the real kicker is the code EXTRA17. Adding this saves you an extra 17% on nearly all items that are part of the sale (for example, an extra $198.90 is knocked off this Dell G3 15-inch laptop.)

Bonus deals are also tacked on the end: That Dell G3 has option add-ons for $150 off an Alienware monitor, $10 off an Alienware gaming mouse, or $25 off a Dell gaming backpack. The money you save with the code essentially pays for one of those.

These are our favorite deals (EXTRA17 already applied), but you can shop everything on sale here.

Not all tax returns can swing a gaming-specific laptop. If you’re shopping for a fast, lightweight business laptops instead, Dell has slashed the prices of a majority of Inspiron and XPS laptops (including 2-in-1s) with code EXTRA17 applicable as well.

We’re particularly into the new XPS 13 model: Conveniently announced right before CES 2020, the newest XPS iteration’s bezels are so damn thin that Dell says it has squeezed a 13.4-inch display into a light 11-inch frame. There are some serious customization options as well, with the ability to upgrade to 4K or up to a  Core i7-1065G7. It’s a total badass, and the fact that it’s part of the sale at all is surprising.
