Asus’ new white leather-clad laptop is too fancy for this world
Asus is celebrating the company’s 30th anniversary with a laptop that’s sure to turn heads, especially if said heads like white leather and gold details.
The ZenBook 13 is a 13.3-inch laptop with a narrow bezel, a Full HD screen, an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD storage, and Asus’ ScreenPad tech — which essentially turns the trackpad into an auxiliary screen. It’s also really slim and has a surprising number of ports, including two USB-A ports, one USB-C port, HDMI, audio jack and a MicroSD card reader.
But all of that you can get on a regular ZenBook 13. What makes this limited edition different is the look, and numerous accessories which are equally as fancy as the laptop itself.
The white-colored laptop has a genuine Italian leather lid cover in white, with a gold-plated 30th anniversary logo and little details like the “Asus Collection” sign above the keyboard. Buyers will also get a white leather sleeve (you’ll probably need it, too, as this thing will likely get dirty amost immediately), and a pearl-white wireless mouse.
It’ll all be nicely packaged in white boxes, too, though I suspect the two diamond-cut gold nuggets (see below) are likely for illustration purposes only.
Other specs of note are just 2.4lbs of weight, a 13.2 hour battery life, and face-unlock capabilities.
The ZenBook 13 30 is available from Asus’ online store for $1,399.
