Apple’s iMac Pro is on sale for up to $500 off on Amazon
TL;DR: Two versions of Apple’s 1TB iMac Pro are on sale on Amazon — save $400 on a 32GB model, or take $500 off the 64GB model.
Relying on a laptop has its perks — i.e., portability — but if you ask us, creatives and gamers should seriously think about upgrading to a desktop computer. They offer way more options for customization and typically boast large and gloriously detailed displays — and besides, you can get much more powerful processors and graphics cards for your money. Physically, there’s just no way to equip a laptop the size of a magazine with those specs. (Remember how Theranos’ Elizabeth Holmes tried to cram the equipment needed for hundreds of diagnostics tests into her PC tower-esque Edison machine? Yeah, it’s just like that: The idea is solid, but reality has its limits.)
For a great deal on a new desktop computer, look no further than a website called Amazon dot com. (Ever heard of it?) We just stumbled upon a rare discount there on Apple’s 27-inch iMac Pro, which comes with a full 1TB of storage and features a Retina 5K Display: Order one today, and you’ll save up to $500.
(On a budget? Amazon also has the regular iMac on sale for up to $700 off depending on the individual model. It’s not as powerful as the iMac Pro, but it’s still an amazing machine.)
Amazon’s sale includes two different iMac Pro models, both in space gray: one with 32GB of storage, and one with double that. The first comes equipped with a speedy 3.2GHz 8-core Intel Xeon W processor and Radeon Pro Vega 56 graphics card, which features 8GB of HBM2 memory. The display itself has a beautiful 5120 x 2880 resolution that supports up to a billion colors, and measures in at just 5mm thin so as not to hog your workspace. Normally $4,999, you’ll pay just $4,599 for this iMac Pro if you order yours from Amazon (a $400 savings).
The 64GB iMac Pro is nearly identical, only it sports the slightly faster 3.0GHz 10-core Intel Xeon W processor and the best-in-class Radeon Pro Vega 64 graphics card with 16GB of HBM2 memory, which lets you create unbelievably lifelike special effects and see VR worlds in remarkable detail. Order it today for only $6,699 — $500 off its suggested retail price of $7,199.
