Amazon has quietly put the new 10.2-inch iPads on sale for $30 off
TL;DR: Apple’s 7th generation 10.2-inch iPad was just released on Sept. 10, but Amazon already put the 128 GB WiFi model on sale for $399.99 at Amazon — saving you $29.01 on your pre-order.
The internet has likely already informed you that Apple released an updated version of the classic iPad and the next series of the Apple Watch at its iPhone Event on Sept. 10.
What you may not have heard is that the new iPad, which has only been available for pre-order for a few days, is already on sale at Amazon (because Amazon has absolutely no chill). Though it’s only a $30 discount, $399.99 sounds much nicer than the $429.99 that Apple’s site is offering. Plus, that $30 can be put toward the or first gen Apple Pencil — two of the sweet upgrades for the new iPad.
Aside from an obvious increase in size, the 7th generation iPad looks identical to its older 9.7-inch sibling. But the best part comes in the form of the interior updates: A new A10 Fusion Chip brings up to double the power of a Windows PC4 (so says Apple), and support of the new iPadOS means multitasking and a smoother, laptop-like experience when using the keyboard.
The 10.2-inch model comes in black, space grey, and rose gold, and the enclosure is made out of recycled aluminum.
The 128 GB WiFi model will run you $429.99 at Apple, but you can save yourself $30 and pre-order it for $399.99 at Amazon. It will be released on Sept. 30
