3D printed neighborhood for people on less than $3 a day
In Tabasco, Mexico, non-profit New Story is building a new kind of neighborhood to offer a home to 50 local families that live on less than three dollars a day. The neighborhood will be entirely 3D printed and the first of its kind globally. Each home takes about 24 hours to 3D print and two of them have now been completed.
For this project, New Story has partnered with construction technologies company ICON and the local nonprofit ÉCHALE, which is helping with the build-out and the selection of families.
