Trevor Noah roasts Tucker Carlson over his conveniently-timed ‘vacation’
A few days ago, Tucker Carlson’s head writer Blake Neff left Fox News after his slew of racist forum posts came to light. And now, Carlson is going away for four days on what he was keen to stress is a “long-planned” trout fishing vacation.
But Trevor Noah wasn’t so sure.
“First off, I love how every time Tucker Carlson gets in trouble, he takes a ‘planned vacation’ in the middle of the week,” says the Daily Show host in the clip above. “The guy’s packing his suitcase in the studio, like, ‘I’ve been planning this thing for a long time. I love starting a vacation mid-week, because the trout never expects you to show up on a Tuesday.'”
Noah goes on to say that if someone tells you their trip was “long-planned,” it means it definitely wasn’t.
“That’s never a detail someone shares, when they talk about a vacation,” he says. “‘The trip was long-planned.’ That’s not something anyone says. This trip was planned as much as anyone plans to shit their pants a little bit when they fart while waiting in line at Whole Foods.”
