Everything coming to (and going from) Netflix in July 2019
It’s summertime, and tons of our favorite Netflix shows are finally back!
After a painful year-and-a-half hiatus, Eleven, Chief Hopper, Steve [insert heart-eyes emoji] and the rest of the gang return to Hawkins, Indiana in Stranger Things 3, out on the Fourth of July. So far the show’s marketing has been heavy on the vacation vibes and low on the plot details — but if Netflix can pull off even a fraction of what they did in Seasons 1 and 2, then we’ll all be in for a treat.
Not feeling the Upside Down? Check out all-new episodes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, a surprise Queer Eye: Season 4 release, and the final season of Orange Is the New Black.
On the movie front, Netflix is offering up family favorites like Mary Poppins Returns, The Princess and the Frog, and The Croods — alongside more adult picks like Cloverfield, The Hangover, Caddyshack, and Inglourious Basterds.
Check out everything coming to Netflix in July 2019 below.
Top Pick: Katherine Ryan: Glitter Room
There are few people in this world funnier than Katherine Ryan, better known to some as “TV’s Katherine Ryan.”
A Canadian comedian living in the U.K., Ryan is a single mom whose favorite stand-up subjects include her adorable daughter, pop culture, double standards, social justice, and the increasing incompetence of the patriarchy.
Glitter Room is the first part of Ryan’s double deal with Netflix. A six-part scripted series from Ryan, titled The Duchess, is still in production. Her first stand-up special, Katherine Ryan: In Trouble, is streaming on Netflix now.
Katherine Ryan: Glitter Room begins July 1.
