Every title available on Quibi for its April 6 launch
Send in the dancing lobsters: Quibi is almost here!
Launching April 6, the fledgling streaming service promises “quick bites” to viewers seeking mobile-optimized content lasting less than ten minutes. On Friday, Quibi announced if would rollout 50 titles at launch — with a promise of 175 shows by the end of year one.
The service is currently priced at $4.99 per month with ads or $7.99 per month ad-free, but will offer a 90-day free trial to anyone who visits Quibi.com and signs up before April 6.
Quibi’s series are broken into three categories. “Films in Chapters” deliver bigger stories in multiple installments lasting 7-10 minutes each. “Unscripted and Docs” encompasses all of Quibi’s reality and documentary programming, ranging from food and travel to dating and true crime, all under 10 minutes. “Daily Essentials” promises 5-6 minute topical segments on a variety of subjects including news, weather, pop culture, sports, and more.
We’ve looked through the titles and, although we can’t vouch for anything yet, there’s a lot of bonkers stuff to look into. Chrissy Teigen, who as best we know never went to law school and was never appointed to a judgeship, arbitrates real legal cases in Chrissy’s Court. Sophie Turner takes on a dramatic survival tale in Survive. In Dishmantled, Tituss Burgess shoots food out of a canon at chef competitors because regular cooking shows have no place on Quibi!
Check out everything coming to Quibi on April 6 below.
Top Pick: Murder House Flip
“From morbid to marvelous.”
What sounds like a joke, but is genuinely happening? Quibi’s Murder House Flip!
Starring home renovation experts Mikel Welch and Joelle Uzyel, this DIY-meets-true crime show takes viewers to the scenes of heinous crimes. There, the owners of the cursed properties enlist the pair’s help “to remove the stains of the past and take these homes from morbid to marvelous.” Could be great, could be uniquely horrifying. Either way, it’s under 10 minutes an episode.
How to watch: Murder House Flip begins streaming Apr. 6 on Quibi.
