Adele is Back and Making Us Cry Yet Again
Adele has officially returned with new music. It has been a long wait but one we were willing to do. Her last album was in 2015 which was titled “25” and a smash hit with songs like “Hello” and “When We Were Young”. It has been six years since she last released music and the singer’s life has changed drastically since. She is now 33, a mother of a little boy, and a divorcee. She has always written music based on her life experiences and her soon to be realized album (named “30”) is no exception. Her new single from said album is called “Easy On Me” which she has said is a song for her 9-year-old son explaining her side of the divorce with his dad and why she chose to do it.
Twitter cannot help but applaud the “Chasing Pavements” singer on her new single and how happy they are that she is back. Her music has always struck a chord with listeners, making them emotional and join the singer on her journeys of emotional turmoil and falling in love. As listeners, many of us feel we know Adele on a personal level due to her sharing so much and relating to us in a way that only Adele Atkins can. From her first album “19” to her new one “30” we have traveled with her as she has grown up and gone through life. With her new album and song, we get to learn more about the artists and understand what her life has been like in the last 6 years.
It’s safe to say that listeners are not disappointed with one Twitter user saying, “she makes me want to get a divorce!” and others saying it has brought them to tears as well as how “perfect” it is.
This album, like her previous ones, has been a form of therapy for Adele, she has even gone as far as to say that with this album she was singing things she “didn’t realize she was feeling and thinking”. It is wonderful not only that Adele has realized a new album for us all to get our teeth into but also that she gets to tell her side of the story and share her views and the world the way she wants and the way she does so well.
It’s been a long and painful wait, but I do believe it has been worth it.
