Gabrielle Toledano, Tesla’s head of human resources, has resigned, Bloomberg reports.
Tesla and Toledano did not immediately respond to Business Insider’s requests for comment.
Toledano had taken a leave of absence at the end of August to spend time with her family, a Tesla spokesperson said at the time. She had worked at Tesla since May 2017 and was previously the head of talent and human resources at Electronic Arts.
Toledano’s reported departure would be the second from a senior Tesla employee this week, following the resignation of chief accountant Dave Morton on Tuesday. Morton, who started working at Tesla in early August, said in a regulatory filing that Tesla operated at a faster pace and received more outside scrutiny than he had expected. He added that he had no issues with Tesla’s financial reporting.
“Since I joined Tesla on August 6th, the level of public attention placed on the company, as well as the pace within the company, have exceeded my expectations. As a result, this caused me to reconsider my future. I want to be clear that I believe strongly in Tesla, its mission, and its future prospects, and I have no disagreements with Tesla’s leadership or its financial reporting,” he said.
Tesla has often experienced a high level of executive turnover. This year, the company has faced departures from its heads of sales and finance, Morton’s predecessor as chief accountant, and various senior engineers.
