Ellen DeGeneres says Archie looks like Prince Harry, has more hair than her
Ellen DeGeneres has finally ended the debate on which royal Archie Harrison takes after.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have only shared a handful of photos since the newborn arrived in May. After multiple rumors — including that he has “tufts of reddish hair”— the TV host has now said the baby looks “just like” his dad.
DeGeneres has been a longtime supporter of Harry and Markle, and spoke about how she got to spend an afternoon with them while visiting London earlier in the summer.
“I can’t tell you how sweet they are, but the most important thing is I got to hold little Archie, the baby,” she said on the Ellen Show.
“I fed Archie, I held Archie. He looks just like Harry, and he had more hair than I did at the time. I spent a lot of my summer growing my hair out, but I’ll tell you about that tomorrow.”
DeGeneres also spoke about the recent travel controversy surrounding the couple, saying they are “the most down-to-earth” couple.
The duke and duchess were recently criticized for using private jets while simultaneously urging fans to be aware of climate change.
Elton John defended the couple, saying he paid for an aircraft to be carbon neutral so the couple could visit him in Nice.Read more: Elton John says he paid for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s private jet to be carbon neutral when they visited his house in France
DeGeneres also tweeted her support for the couple at the time, writing: “Imagine being attacked for everything you do, when all you’re trying to do is make the world better.”
Speaking on the Ellen Show, she added: “I see them get attacked, and it’s not fair. They’re just two of the most down-to-earth, compassionate people. They’re doing so much good for the world.”
The star also hinted at a possible working collaboration with the royals in the future.
Praising Harry and Markle’s work on wildlife conservation, she said: “We’re all gonna do something together.”
Buckingham Palace is yet to make an announcement, however the star also confirmed in a tweet that the reason she met with the pair in London was to talk about their conservation work.
