Save $150 on the M1 MacBook Air (256GB) via Amazon
Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.
SAVE $149.01: As of Sept. 2, a $49.01 discount and a $100 off coupon have brought Apple’s late 2020 MacBook Air (M1, 256GB) down to just $849.99 on Amazon. That’s 15% off its $999 MSRP.
Et tu, Tim Cook? A MacBook deal at another retailer has left the Apple Store’s Education Pricing in the dust yet again.
The last time we checked, the 256GB configuration of the M1-powered MacBook Air from late 2020 (i.e., the base model) was available on Amazon for its all-time-low price of $849.99 after a $49.01 discount and a $100 extra savings coupon. The latter will get automatically applied at checkout — no need to tick any boxes or remember any promo codes.
That’s what we like to see.

Note that all three colors are technically sold out at the moment — Amazon lists them as “in stock soon” — but you’ve still got the option of placing your order now to lock in this sale pricing, and they’ll ship ASAP. (The gold one will arrive soonest, FYI, while the silver and space gray models are on backorder ’til late September and mid-October, respectively.)
Maybe it won’t surprise you to hear that this is the No. 1 bestselling laptop across all of Amazon, having earned a mad-impressive 4.8/5-star rating with more than 8,800 customer reviews. It also happens to be a Mashable’s Choice Award-winner, earning high praise from tech reporter Brenda Stolyar for its “silky-smooth performance,” fanless design, and battery life that just won’t quit; a single charge gets you up to 15 hours of wireless web browsing and 18 hours of video playback.
“The M1-powered MacBook Air doesn’t revolutionize the experience of using a MacBook, but it’s certainly the right choice for Apple loyalists looking to upgrade from an older model,” Stolyar wrote in her review (which you can read in its entirety here).
