Google Calendar, Meet, and other services are down
Update: According to a Google spokesperson, the issue has now been fully mitigated.
Just a day after issues with Amazon’s AWS caused some internet services, including IMDb and Tinder, to become unavailable, Google is having issues of its own.
Early on Wednesday, numerous reports from users indicate that Google Calendar and Google Meet are down. We’ve tried it out and these services were unavailable for us as well.
According to Downdetector, Google Calendar and Meet are currently having issues, though other Google services, including Gmail and YouTube, are working normally. (Editor’s note: Downdetector is owned by Mashable’s parent company, Ziff Davis).

On the other hand, Google’s own Status Dashboard doesn’t indicate any issues right now.
It’s unclear whether Google’s current issues are somehow related to the problems Amazon had with AWS yesterday.
We’ve sent a note to Google and will update this post when we know more.
