Everything coming to Netflix in September 2021
On the hunt for the perfect fall binge-watch? Netflix has you covered, adding tons of new films and TV to its library this September.
New original films include thriller Kate and children’s horror-fantasy Nightbooks. On the TV end, get ready for the return of series like Sex Education, Dear White People, and Money Heist, as well as originals like Midnight Mass, from The Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan. Also coming to Netflix are films like Do the Right Thing, School of Rock, and Jaws.
But that’s only scratching the surface. Here’s everything coming to Netflix in September 2021.
Top Pick: Sex Education Season 3

Over its first two seasons, Sex Education solidified itself as an exceptional teen dramedy thanks to its talented ensemble cast and subversion of typical high school stereotypes. It explores sex from all angles in a thoughtful and refreshingly candid way, finding the humor in awkward situations while still tackling serious issues of consent.
Season 3 of Sex Education brings us back to Moordale, where a lot of things have changed. Otis (Asa Butterfield) is getting comfortable with casual sex, and Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam (Connor Swindells) are officially a couple. Meanwhile, Jean (Gillian Anderson) is expecting a baby, and Moordale High’s new headmistress Hope (Jemima Kirke) is attempting to make big changes around the school.
How to watch: Season 3 of Sex Education hits Netflix Sept. 17.
