Disney's Star Wars anime series takes the hype to hyperspace in this first full trailer
Imagine Marvel’s What If…? series on Disney+, but make it Star Wars. And anime.
That’s what it looks like we’re getting in Star Wars: Visions, which cranked our excitement levels into hyperspace with this first full-blown trailer. The anthology series hands the creative reins of a galaxy far, far away over to seven different teams of Japanese anime creators, and — based on the trailer — the result is shaping up to be one of the most refreshingly original and different takes on Star Wars since Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012.
The trailer also contains the most vital piece of info: a release date. Star Wars: Visions is coming to Disney+ on Sept. 22.
