Best Buy announces early Black Friday deals, new price guarantee
Deal pricing and availability subject to change after time of publication.
Best Buy is throwing out the Black Friday playbook.
The electronics retailer announced Thursday that it will have Black Friday deals available multiple times throughout the holiday season, starting with a four-day sale running Tuesday, Oct. 19 through Friday, Oct. 22. It also plans on kicking off its official sale a week early on Nov. 19. (Deep breaths.)
What’s more, all deals will be covered by a new “Black Friday Price Guarantee” that their discounts won’t get any better before the big day — so you know you’re getting the best deal possible no matter when you shop. (If a better price does crop up for some reason, Best Buy will automatically refund the difference for My Best Buy and Best Buy Totaltech members; non-members can get reimbursed by visiting their local store or contacting its customer care team about a price match.)

Best Buy says its decision to basically rewrite the October and November calendars is meant to “help [customers] get the goods early.” Our take? It’s partially to get a jump on what’s expected to be a huge holiday shopping season, but mostly an attempt to avoid those supply chain disruptions affecting everything from computer chips to chicken wings.
Next week’s initial sale will feature hundreds of markdowns on “the season’s hottest tech,” including $150 off a 70-inch Samsung 4K smart TV, $180 off the matte black Beats Studio3 headphones, and Chromebooks as cheap as $99. If you can’t wait ’til then, here’s a look at the best deals you can shop on its site now through Oct. 18:
iPhone 13 — save up to $1,000
Upgrading to Apple’s latest and greatest smartphone? You can get up to $1,000 off when you trade in your old or damaged phone and activate a qualified Verizon or AT&T plan through Best Buy.
This stunning (and gigantic) new smart TV with bold Direct Full Array backlighting and immersive Object Tracking Sound just hit its lowest price of the year so far: Grab it on sale at Best Buy for only $1,899.99, or 30% off its $2,699.99 MSRP.
HP Omen X 27 — $399.99 (save $110)
This hi-res, anti-glare gaming monitor with a 1ms response time and refresh rates up to 165Hz is also enjoying its best price of 2021 to date: Best Buy’s $399.99 sale price takes a solid 22% off its suggested retail price of $509.99.
Boasting a 4.5/5-star rating on Best Buy’s website (with over 3,300 customer reviews), this slim and secure 14-inch Chromebook would make the perfect portable laptop for work or school. Snag it on sale for only $189, or 41% off its usual retail price of $319.
Link up with family and friends over the holidays (while safely social distancing) with an Alexa-enabled Facebook Portal smart display ($179.99) or a Portal TV for the big screen ($149.99). Grab two of ’em, and Best Buy will take $100 off your final total.
DoorDash — get a $10 reward for every $100 gift card you buy
Your takeout habit is finally paying off: If you buy a $100 DoorDash gift card from Best Buy anytime through the 18th, you’ll get $10 to put towards something else on your holiday wish list.
