Amazon Prime members can shop exclusive new products through July 31
For years, Black Friday had been the day for deals and shopping, basically serving as the unofficial kickoff to the Christmas season. Stores get packed with people looking to score the best deals on things like kitchen appliances, TVs, and clothes. And though Cyber Monday has emerged as a way to get around the madness of Black Friday, historically speaking the summer has been a deal dead zone.
All that changed in 2015 with the first Amazon Prime Day. It originally started as a way to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary with a day of big sales. These sales served as exclusives to Prime members and as a means to bring in more Prime sign ups. But what started as a one-day celebration of sales has become an annual tradition, serving as the Black Friday of the summer.
The 36 hours of Prime Day sales for 2018 also saw a new addition to the big day, Prime Day Launches. This served as an avenue for new and established brands to release new and special edition products exclusively for Prime Day. Prime members got early access to the items before they are made available for the wider market. This includes products ranging from home appliances to children’s toys. And the good news, dear reader, is that you can still shop the Prime Day Launches through the end of the month.
We took a deep dive through the Prime Day Launches lineup — here are some of the best products still available via the program through July 31.
For anyone who needs a fresh cup of coffee in the morning, this is the thing for you. The OXO Conical Burr Coffee Grinder is a grinder designed to simplify the coffee making process. Simply set the grinder to one of 15 settings ranging from fine to coarse, depending on how you like your coffee. Then set the timer for up to 30 seconds and let the grinder do its job. And if you are someone who seriously can’t function without a morning cup of java, don’t fret. The device can grind enough coffee beans for 12 cups, so you can keep going during the those long work days.
Just because you don’t have the time in the morning doesn’t mean you can’t have a fresh cup of coffee. That’s where the Coffee Boy All-in-One comes in. The Coffee Boy All-in-One Portable Coffee Maker features a built-in grinder that can prepare a batch of coffee beans the way you like, regardless if you like coarse or fine grinds. Just make sure there’s hot water in the mug, and the Coffee Boy will be able to make a fresh cup of coffee.
Nemesis Prime is the evil clone of the Autobot leader Optimus Prime and makes for the perfect addition to your collection of Decepticons. Like the rest of the Transformers, Nemesis Prime can transform into a tractor trailer and semi-truck, which further shows why the Transformers toys were always appealing. For the price of one figure, you are basically getting multiple toys in one.
On the other end of the toy spectrum, there are the WowWee Fingerlings. As the name implies, the toy is a small figure that hugs your finger. This particular one also includes a small “BFF” that hugs the main figure’s tail. The Fingerlings respond to a variety of actions, like blowing back kisses if you blow one to it or rock it to sleep.
The Coleman RoadTrip Portable Grill is a great summer companion. This grill is small enough to fit on most tabletops, whether it be at home or out for a day at the park. Just make sure you’ve got your propane tank ready to go, and you can get to grilling anywhere you want to.
If you like the tabletop grill but find it a little clunky to travel with or don’t want to rely on a table at all, Coleman has another option thanks to Prime Day Launch. The Coleman RoadTrip 285 Portable Stand-Up Propane Grill is the portable grill that can deliver for either of those. The RoadTrip 285 is nearly identical to the RoadTrip 225, being powered by a propane tank with a grill top that’s a little bigger than the 225. The big difference comes in how portable the 285 is. While the RoadTrip 225 would have to be carried separately, the RoadTrip 285 sports collapsible legs with wheels, making it much easier for transport.
Finding the right crib can be tricky, especially if you’re new to the whole baby thing. Most cribs will only be good while your child is in the toddler phase before you have to look for a proper bed. But thanks to the Prime Day Launch, you can get both in one. The DaVinci Liam 4-in-1 Convertible Crib delivers a streamlined crib that can grow with your toddler for the first few years. The crib can be converted from a standard, four-sided crib to a toddler bed, day bed, and full-sized bed as they grow. So as your child grows, you won’t have to worry about replacing the crib or bed for a while.
If you find yourself having to constantly reset the WFi, or if your house connectivity is spotty, you’re probably in the market for a mesh WiFi setup. The TP-Link Deco M9 Plus 2-pack would be just the thing you’re looking for. The primary unit works in place of the wireless router and the second unit extends coverage to pick up for any signal fade where you want the coverage. It also means more devices can be connected, since two units are handling the connected devices and not just one. And with 4500 square feet of coverage, you shouldn’t have to worry about potential signal drop anymore.
Those are just a few of the items you can find as part of Prime Day Launches. You can find more, like new watches, hard drives, and even new sinks, under the new banner available exclusively to Prime members though July 31. So if you want to take advantage and aren’t already a Prime member, sign up for Prime and get to shopping to your heart’s content.
